Mindy is the sort of fitness instructor that knows how to inspire and teach. Take a look at her classes at Life Time and they are packed with waiting lists. That’s because good things come in small packages. To listen to our StoryCorps interview:
The first time I met Mindy she was subbing for a Pilates instructor, and I was blown away by her class. All instructors teach differently, which works to our advantage. We have the opportunity to gain experience with each instructor. In Mindy’s Pilates classes, she works slowly and methodically, instructing us on breathing and form. I always come out of her Pilates with a fresh perspective.
The second-class I found was Mindy's Life Barre Fusion class and fell completely in love with this challenging work-out. I took it as often as it fit into my schedule. It’s almost as if Mindy and Life Barre class were made for one another. Recently I added Mindy’s barbell class into my routine loving straightforward lifting.
And to see how much Mindy is adored, take one of her Arora Aqua classes. It's a fun-filled class full of smiling faces. Last summer Mindy added water walking before Arora Aqua and the class had a great time creating waves. Mindy is an excellent instructor, bringing her years of knowledge of exercise and fitness to each class. She is also interested in the body and how it works. Her background in biology and anatomy lends itself to her instruction and modifications in class. When I was injured a few years ago Mindy wanted to know what the doctors were saying and what the physical therapist had been doing to rehab. She was honestly trying to learn how to prevent and rehab this injury.
While Mindy focuses intently on bringing the best to each class, walking down the halls with her at Life Time demonstrates how people feel about her. Member after member said hello with a great big smile. Some remarking on previous conversations with her. Members love Mindy with that mega-watt smile and bubbly personality.
THIS is how she creates community with fitness. Her sincerity, generosity, and kindness shine through in each class and every interaction. Mindy enjoys and loves fitness, teaching fitness classes AND building a community of friends at Life Time. We are fortunate to have her. Good things really do come in small packages. Thank you, Mindy! See you in class.
Expect Good. Defy Gravity. Sparkle ON! Create community wherever you are!
